A U.S. patent will be issued in the next 60 days for the Harmos Sound, created by the Harmos Lap Steel Guitar. The guitar, invented and built by designer T. The Revolutionary Harmos Lap Steel Sound

Harmos Music_s revolutionary new lap steel guitar is finding enthusiastic
players in high places. American masters Robert Randolph ("Awesome"),
Jerry Douglas ("Incredible") and Bobby Ingano ("Looks out of this world, sounds down to earth") all love the instrument. And the five Harmos models - Sacred Steel, Americana, Hawaiian, Honky Tonk and Model One are now available to players direct from the manufacturer and from select dealers.

The sound of the new guitar itself is patented. This delicious organic sound and the incredible sustain have never been heard before.

Instrument designer T. Sage Harmos says the sound and sustain come from the
instrument_s unique tetrahedral-octet structure, pioneered by visionary
inventor R. Buckminster Fuller. This carbon fiber tube structure gives the
instrument an out-of-this-world look, and provides superior strength and
light weight. This translates into strong fundamental pitch support while
uniquely enhancing the harmonics for a tone and responsiveness never before
available.

Says Robert Randolph, who tours nationally with his Harmos lap steel, and
who was seen with The Family Band on the Grammy Awards broadcast this year, "The Harmos guitar has a great sustain, and I love playing it." Five-time Grammy winner Jerry Douglas, Hawaiian steeler Bobby Ingano and Aerosmith axeman Joe Perry also relish their Harmos guitars. Says Douglas, "[It_s] the sound that_s been waiting to be heard."

The British magazine Total Guitar gave the Harmos a 4-Rating and said, "[It has] gorgeous tonal clarity and sustain?a beautifully thought-out instrument."

Harmos engineer James Baecker says all Harmos guitars are made of pultruded
carbon fiber tube, and come with selectable single coil pick-ups and on-board volume and tone control. Different pickups and wood endboard materials are available to
complement different musical styles. Models are available in 6-, 7- and 8-string versions. Accessories include a custom hard case or gig bag, tripod stand and dance bar for stand up playing..

The guitars are crafted in the Harmos workshop in Excelsior, Minnesota and are shipped to customers directly from the manufacturer, and through a growing network of dealers. Harmos lap steel guitars are priced between $700 and $1,300.

Next in development at Harmos is a Harmos Sound open-body electric guitar.
Says designer Harmos, "Making our lap steel allowed me to demonstrate my
belief that beauty is as important in this world as food and shelter." "My
job as an instrument creator is to make it easier for someone to find that
beauty."

More and more lap steel players are doing just that with the Harmos.

At this upcoming concert, friends and fans will get to hear the Harmos Sound in performance.
